Welcome to my blog! You might be thinking, "365 Lemontinis? Is this a drinking game blog?" Nah. Just my upgraded concept of making lemonade when life hands you lemons. (Let's face it Lemontinis are much more exciting than plain ol' lemonade! And only if you are of age mind, I don't endorse underage drinking!!) I hope this will be a fun, creative outlet for me and that anyone reading it gets a kick out of it too. My "Maiden" post was on New Years Eve 2011 and it explains my motivation for this blog (in rather great detail, sorry.) I'll be writing one post a day for the duration of 2012, squeezing the deliciousness out of life even when it's tough.
Thanks for reading!

I had something I really wanted to post on here but couldn't find it. May have to do some digging tomorrow to see if I can find it.

still at it
I'm still writing on here. I've began a new blog but until I decide that I'm going to stick with it, until it's got some solid staying power, I'm probably going to keep writing on here. No one is reading these anyway so even if it's just something quick and lame, at least I'm still sticking to my plan.
For now, I've left you with some funny demotivationals. Until tomorrow.

well bugger
Another night and I'm sitting torn on what to do about this ol' blog. A part of me wants to delete it entirely because I don't feel like I'm getting what I initially wanted out of it, an outlet. The other part doesn't want to give up on it, because I'm not a give up kind of personality. When I first started, this was really fun and I was feeling like I was getting something out of it. But now I dread getting on, struggling to write something more sufficient than how my day was or "blah I don't want to write," which, lets face it, has been more often than not. Only one person has read all of my posts (that I can tell by the stats they give you on here) and that's my husband. I know I said I didn't care about an audience, and while that's partially true, I feel like not having one has almost stifled my creativity because it seems no one is interested. I didn't want to broadcast this thing but I put a link on my facebook for my close friends and fam to see and even kept the wall post "Becki has recently update her websites," hoping people would be clever and check it out, but I'm afraid my expectations of people's cleverness is much too high. That, or no one cares.
Gonna think on it some more, but I really feel like doing away with this and maybe finding a concept to work with or just sticking to Yelp and Yahoo Answers for my writing need. I think what I really need is a pen name and a blog where I can be unequivocally me to talk about whatever and whomever I wanted without anyone ever knowing it's me.

Winters Bone
With Hunger Games Movie looming on the horizon, I wanted to be properly schooled in my knowledge of Jennifer Lawrence. I already had a small taste when I saw X-Men first class, she played the young Mystique, and did a great job. But I really wanted to get to know her a little better, before I see her in the role of what could arguably be the most historical fictional heroine of our time and beyond.
Tonight we watched Winters Bone. Which, truth be told was well over due, as I've been wanting to see it after having heard about it and been told by several people that I needed to watch it. I've really want to see it ever since it's buzz at last year's Oscars. It was amazing. Amazing cinematography, acting and directing. You get the erie feeling of actually being in the backwoods of the Ozarks, what life might be like down there for those parts. The sights and the sounds of the scenery; from the chirping of the birds, the wind in the trees and the cold grey sky, put you right there, and it's real. It's not typical Hollywood work effects. It was REAL. And the people. A primarily unknown cast held the realism in place. I wouldn't mess with those folks, no way! As for Jennifer Lawrence, I was blown away. She is an incredibly gifted actress and well on her way to becoming one of Hollywoods leading ladies. I can't wait to see her as Katniss Everdeen in a few weeks!
If you haven't seen Winters Bone yet, you must. That's my word, it has been written.
