Welcome to my blog! You might be thinking, "365 Lemontinis? Is this a drinking game blog?" Nah. Just my upgraded concept of making lemonade when life hands you lemons. (Let's face it Lemontinis are much more exciting than plain ol' lemonade! And only if you are of age mind, I don't endorse underage drinking!!) I hope this will be a fun, creative outlet for me and that anyone reading it gets a kick out of it too. My "Maiden" post was on New Years Eve 2011 and it explains my motivation for this blog (in rather great detail, sorry.) I'll be writing one post a day for the duration of 2012, squeezing the deliciousness out of life even when it's tough.

Thanks for reading!

Ten Travel Musings

10.  Fog is NOT GOOD. It will eff everything up.

9.  If you expect the TSA agents to be poop heads, you won't believe your amazement when they are actually nice.

8. Gay flight attendants are WAY nicer than women flight attendants.

7. If there is no Starbucks or Caribou around, Dunkin' Doughnuts has decent coffee. Never drink the crap they put in your room, unless it's a super fancy place, but then you still need to be cautious.

6. There will always be at least one airline staffer at some point in your travels who doesn't know their a-- from a hole in the ground and manages to frick everything up for no reason.

5. No matter how light you pack, if you have a kid you will be hauling tons of crap thru the terminals and your hotel and rental car will be cluttered with all your stuff

4. First class flyers who miss their call to the gate, believe they are entitled to cut in front of the Zone 1 group even when they are actually in the middle of having their tickets scanned.

3. Consider yourself blessed if you get the experience of a descent that starts above the clouds. AWESOME!

2.  Even just catching a glimpse of the prominent structures flying into Ronald Reagan International is amazing.

1.  Traveling is so fun and exciting but truly, there's no place like home.

last night

Tomorrow we fly home. I can't say that it's been a fantastic trip but it hasn't been terrible either. Had our daughter been feeling better it might have gone a bit smoother, but she could have been worse too and I'm glad she wasn't. We spent a nice day on the beach today and I'm glad to be heading back to good ol KC tomorrow.

day 4 in Florida

I'm sooooo tired and have really poor internet access in our new hotel. Gonna get off here and rest! Didn't do too much today, switched rental cars and hotels and that took the better part of the day. I sat by the pool while the other two napped then we went mini golfing. Tomorrow is the last day here, hoping it will be a great one since we are all together.

Nite!

end of day 3

It's the end of day 3, phase 2 here in florida. Tomorrow we begin phase 3, the final portion of our trip. We've booked a hotel on our own dime, and need to pick up our second rental car. I'm looking forward to two more days here and for all of us to spend time together. Husband is still out for the night for his golf thing (it's now the after golf, after, after party apparently.)

I'm in a bit of a mood so I think I'll get off of here before I go on a rant.

Florida Day 2

Baby girl was feeling much more herself today. Started off slow but was in full sass mode by the end of the day. She's already in bed.

We had such a fantastic 24 hours with my aunt and uncle. We spent the afternoon yesterday tooling around Venice and seeing the sights and stayed up chatting last night and spent a nice morning/afternoon with them today. They are such wonderful people, and it was nice to get one on one time with them.

Tomorrow should be a fun day. Hubs has his golf tournament (reason we're here) and my Leu and I are going to go to the beach. It's been cloudy these last two days so we're looking forward to the forecasted sunny day and 79 degrees. Then we'll have Tuesday and Wednesday to do family stuff.

Talk to you tomorrow nite! Later tators!
