Welcome to my blog! You might be thinking, "365 Lemontinis? Is this a drinking game blog?" Nah. Just my upgraded concept of making lemonade when life hands you lemons. (Let's face it Lemontinis are much more exciting than plain ol' lemonade! And only if you are of age mind, I don't endorse underage drinking!!) I hope this will be a fun, creative outlet for me and that anyone reading it gets a kick out of it too. My "Maiden" post was on New Years Eve 2011 and it explains my motivation for this blog (in rather great detail, sorry.) I'll be writing one post a day for the duration of 2012, squeezing the deliciousness out of life even when it's tough.

Thanks for reading!

zzzzz

Too tired to care about writing. Had a bad nights sleep last night (not because I partied too hard but just from all the excitement) and all I want to do is go upstairs, get in bed, finish Hunger Games (probably the fastest I've ever read a book) and go to bed at a decent hour.

G'nite.

15,768,000+ minutes

Cannot believe I'm thirty. It doesn't feel like it, I feel pretty much the same as I did yesterday and the day before, etc. But the more I think about it the more reality weighs down. 30 years ago today, at this moment, up in the Minnesota snow, I was merely hours old. I imagine what it might have been like that day for everyone in my life. I think of my grandmother who was blessed with her forth grandchild on her birthday. Then little bits and pieces of my life since have been flashing in front of my face today....not in that freaky, life passing before your eyes thing like I'm dying, but just in a sentimental way. 30 years. Whew. I haven't cried and I don't plan on it but it is VERY surreal to think I'm 30 and think of all those memories from being a kid, a pre-teen, a teen and all those twenty something days up to now.

It has thus far been a regular day. I know I should have spent it lounging around being lazy but I just have been too stir crazy to not do anything. So I've done laundry and some organizing and I gave myself a pedi. My husband gave me some marching orders that I am to pack an overnight bag for both my daughter and myself and that he will be coming home at 345 to take her to my parents house. Then he will be back for me at 445, at which time I'm supposed to be "party ready." I'm getting nervous just thinking about it, and very excited to see what he has planned for tonight that we won't be coming back home.

So I'm posting now, and I've got my blog on my BexBerry so I can post again later with an update (if I get a chance).

Later!

an hour to thirty

I'm afraid I've expended all the writing I care to do tonight on Facebook and thus have nothing for this entry.

I'm starting to get all sleep laden from my NyQuil and I'm enjoying Hunger Games before I head up to bed.

I'll go to bed in my twenties, wake as a 30 year old. Still seems so surreal to me but I'm excited for a brand new start.

G'nite.

Day 3,651 (or abouts)

If there is such thing as bloggers block I totally have it. I also have a major headache from cold med/nose blowing overload. Let me pop into a hot shower and see if that doesn't help....brb...

.....welp. I do feel a bit better in the way of the headache, but alas...nothing to talk about. I could go on about how my day was, but I just don't want to fall into that cycle when there is nothing else interesting to write. I refuse to be that "blogger." My day was a regular day. Happy with very minimal frustration or aggravation (except for the nose blowing, it's outta control!) I did make cookies with my baby girl, and there is just nothing cuter than her in her little red apron being so eager to help.

I've been looking forward to this evening as a matter of fact. We recorded Ink Master last night, which we are about to watch and then I'm going to get in bed and dive into Hunger Games, which by the by is off the charts mind blowing and I'm only 7 chapters in.

Talk to you tomorrow!
Which is my last day in my twenties, the 3,652 (or abouts) day since I turned twenty......YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!

3 days

Three days left till the big three zero. While all is well for the most part, I'm otherwise spending my last days in my twenties under the weather. I'm still dealing with this head cold/sinus infection/allergy something or other and it's miserable. Not a big deal, if this is the worst of my problems I'll take it. It's kinda ironic I tho, mere days left in my twenties and the best are literally behind me, haha. :-/ I'm really hoping to be much better by Friday, which is my party day. Something is in the works, I said I didn't want to plan my own 30th so I left it up to my husband and sis. I hope they don't make everyone yell surprise, I mean, I supplied the guest list, I know it's happenin' y'all. I'm very much looking forward to being around friends and family, having some noms and what I'm very excited for especially after this week of non-stop nose blowing and soup eating, is a very good "Hello Thirty," cocktail! :-)

I don't have much else to write about, truth be told I think I may take some NyQuil, grab a book and read until I fall into a cough syrup induced stupor!

Talk to you tomorrow!

bloopity bloo

I just have nothing tonight. I had a great day, no lemons. I've been rockin' an a-hole of a head cold for the last couple days however, and I'm slightly miserable, blowing my nose every five minutes. My nose is all red and grodie. Real fun.

Bought myself a little treat today at NFM. An iPod Nano. This baby has FM freaking radio on it! SCORE! Happy early b-day to me!

I wish I had something else to write about, I'm sorry but I really just want to get off of here and do some sketching while I have a little time to myself. After child goes to bed we start Alcatraz and Castle is on too. Woot!

Peace out.

Globes Red Carpet

I have nothing to write about. Great day. Operation Fugly Fan Replacement was successfully completed. Our house is almost fully redone, just a few more things to go.

I'm watching the Golden Globes right now. Watched E!'s red carpet show earlier. While I'm not one of those obsessed fashionistas who live for the glitz, glamour and who's wearing who, I do like watching the stars do their thing and yes, I'll admit, I do very much enjoy the fashion (just not obessed, fine line people, fine line). Actually I just stumbled upon it flipping thru tonight, I didn't even know it was on. So, for fun I chose a few ladies to comment on from tonights red carpet. These are Getty Images, I took them from various internet sites, I do not have the rights to these images and I do not mean any infringement in using them.

Dianna Agron
 I. Want. This. Dress.

Katherine McPhee
Loved her on Idol and I'm so glad she's got a gig.
A classic beauty and she looks amazing.

Lea Michelle
Ugh. The thing with these kinds of dresses is the "nude" section
needs to be believable and hers is tan. That paired with the silver
(coral reef????) design=awful.

Shailene Woodley
I don't know who she is but she is GORGEOUS.
She looks like an angel, this dress is too unreal to be earthly.
And note to Lea Michelle, she's rockin the "nude" part perfectly.
It's supposed to look like it's not there!

Natalie Portman
I love her. I love this color. But the dress doesn't do
it for me. Looks like they ran out of time before they
could cut it into a real gown, took the excess fabric, wrapped
it around her and called it done. Sorry.

Sarah Michelle Gellar
I just can't help but love this dress. She said her two year
old daughter helped pick it out, so how can you not love that?
She is fun and outgoing and the dress suits her style.

Tilda Swinton
Not gonna lie. Thought this was David Bowie at first.
Does she scare anyone else?

Reece Witherspoon
Love her, love her, love her!
She's never looked bad and always dresses to
her style and personality.

Angelina Jolie
Yes I'm intentionally saving the best for last. I am biased, but
even if she wasn't my all time favorite, I would have still chosen
her as best dressed tonight. So gorgeous, she knows how to glam
it up and still keep it classy and timeless.
